Hiya Stacie,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for your question about one of my favorite topics: fireworks parties! Before I had little Mouseketeers, you would often find me huddled in front of Cinderella Castle with all the crowds looking up at the night sky. But once my first baby was born, the idea of her getting lost in the crowd pushed me to dessert parties. I did my first almost three years ago and have never looked back; it is truly my favorite way to enjoy the fireworks!
So Stacie, once you check in to
Seats and Sweets, each Guest in your party will receive a wristband. The wristband gives you access to the party and your
viewing area for the show. You will want to have your group together when you check in so that they can ensure a table is reserved for your entire group. Once you check-in, however, you do not need to stay in the viewing area. The wristband each of you will receive will also enable you to come and go as you please. Since I have a toddler, after we check in, one parent stays with the baby and enjoys treats, while the other takes the toddler to ride attractions and get her “wiggles” out before the show. It is recommended to check in 60 minutes before show time, and there is no way my Mouseketeer can last that long, so we love we can do this!
I hope this was helpful, Stacie! Before I let you go, I’m not sure when you plan to do the party, but I recommend bringing rain gear and/or blankets, depending on the time of year. While you are seated during the show, you are still outside. Being prepared for the weather will make your show so much more enjoyable. Please come back and see
us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
