Hi Jennifer,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your questions! I’m glad to hear that you have your Theme Park tickets and
Disney Park Pass reservations booked, you’re that much closer to the magic!
From an admissions standpoint, you should be all set. For your
MagicBands, if you’re staying on property and utilizing My Disney Experience to order at the pre-arrival price, that is your next step. Guests should place their order for MagicBands 11 days before their arrival (if they want them shipped to their home) or six days before arrival (to be picked up at their Resort). If you’re using older MagicBands, you’ll just want to make sure they are linked to your My Disney Experience mobile app! If you prefer to have a physical card ticket, just stop by
Guest Relations.
When it comes to
Disney Genie+ Service, yes all you’ll do is tap your MagicBand or ticket at the entrance of the attraction at the time your reservation begins! At 7:00 a.m. on the day(s) you have the Service, you’ll be able to select your first
Lightning Lane attraction return window. Once you use your first Lightning Lane or two hours after Theme Park opening (whichever comes first), you’ll be able to select your next Lightning Lane and continue the cycle throughout the day (subject to availability).
There are also
Individual Lightning Lanes, which are select attractions separate from the category mentioned above. These are some of the most popular attractions around the Resort. The Individual Lightning Lanes can be purchased in addition to Disney Genie+, but the purchase window differs for these selections.
Disney Resorts Collection and other select hotel guests can begin purchasing Individual Lightning Lanes at 7:00 a.m. on the day of their visit to the Theme Parks. If guests aren’t staying at a Walt Disney World Resort property, then they can make their first Individual Lightning Lane purchase when the Theme Park opens.
All the Lightning Lane reservations that you book will be under the “My Genie Day” portion of the
My Disney Experience mobile app.
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you continue to prepare for your summer vacation. If you have any other vacation or planning questions in the meantime,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
Bryanna
