Ooooh Amy, welcome, welcome, to planDisney. I am so excited about your first trip ever (with
little ones or with
tweens/teens) to Walt Disney World Resort this October. This is a perfect time of year to visit because the crowd levels will be a little smaller, Magic Kingdom Park will be decorated with jack-o'-lanterns, and some of the sweetest treats are brewed directly from Mickey and Minnie's cauldron.
Guests not attending
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will start to be ushered out at party time. You will be able to shop at the stores on Main Street, U.S.A. for a short while. Cast Members will kindly let you know when non-party guests' time has come to an end. Please note: Party merchandise will be on display but only for Guests wearing a special party bracelet will be able to purchase those items.
planDisney Pro Tip1: Please ask at the front desk of your
Walt Disney World Resort hotel, at the theme park ticket window, or Guest Relations window for a "First Time" button and wear these during your whole trip.
Mickey Mouse and the rest of the Disney characters love to meet new friends.
planDisney Pro Tip 2: On party nights, when we do not attend the party, we try and get a spot on the beach of
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, or on the terrace of
California Grill restaurant or
Narcoossee's restaurant to view the fireworks at Magic Kingdom Park (
advance dining reservations may be made 60 days in advance and should be for a time about 90 minutes before the fireworks). These locations pump in the party music during
Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Amy, we have a Scrooge McDuck-sized vault full of information. Please stop back by planDisney or
write me back directly with any follow-up questions regarding your very first Walt Disney World Resort adventure. Have an incredible time!
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
