Nataliya from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hello! I have tickets and a reservation for Walt Disney World, but I also wanted to link my tickets with my friends, but they also have reservations already made. Is there anyway for us to still link our tickets together to make Genie+ reservations easier?

    Hi Nataliya, welcome to planDisney!

Three chEARS for your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort! You earned the first chEAR by purchasing and linking valid admission to your My Disney Experience account. You earned the second chEAR by making your theme park reservations. You earned the third chEAR for your plans to use Disney Genie+ service during your park days. A Genie+ purchase gives you access to Lightning Lane entrances at over 40 attractions throughout the four theme parks. That's a whole new world of magic!

You and your friends have done everything right so far. The next step is to connect as Family and Friends in My Disney Experience. Once everyone is connected as Family and Friends, any one of you can book Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions for the group. To connect as Family and Friends using the My Disney Experience mobile app, ask one of your friends to do the following:

    1. Log into their My Disney Experience account on the app and click the three small lines at the bottom right of the home screen.
    2. Scroll down and click "My Profile."
    3. Scroll down and click "Show My Linking Code."
    4. Click "Show My Linking Code" again.
    5. If you two are together, your friend should show you the linking code; otherwise, they should send you a screenshot of the linking code, which expires in 30 minutes.
    6. Make sure "Yes, share my Family and Friends list" is selected on the bottom of their Family and Friends list in the app.

At the same time, you should do the following in your My Disney Experience app:
    1. Log in and click on the three small lines at the bottom right of the home screen.
    2. Scroll down and click "My Profile."
    3. Click on the Family and Friends List tab.
    4. Click "Add a Guest."
    5. Select "Scan their linking code" and click the "Scan Linking Code" button.
    6. If you and your friend are together, hold your camera over their linking code to connect; otherwise, click "Manually Enter a Code" and enter the Manual Code listed on the screenshot they sent you in step five above.
    7. Make sure "Yes, share my Family and Friends list" is selected on the bottom of your Family and Friends list in the app.

Once added, you can click on the name of an individual in your Family and Friends list and decide whether you want them to view "All My Plans" or "Only Plans We Share."

You can repeat the process to add more friends. Alternately, once you and your friend are connected as Family and Friends in My Disney Experience and sharing your lists, you can restart your app and do the following:
    1. Once again access your Family and Friends List
    2. Click "Add a Guest."
    3. A list of the Family and Friends connected to your previously added friend should automagically appear. Select the name(s) of the individuals you would also like added to your My Disney Experience account.

Have a magical trip and thanks for planDisney-ing!
