Zakariya from IL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Can tickets be refunded or used at a different time if we aren’t able to make the trip on the scheduled date?

Hi Zakariya! Welcome to planDisney! With your trip just a few weeks away, you must be getting so excited to experience the magic of the Happiest Place on Earth!

I have some good news for you. While tickets are nonrefundable, their expiration dates do allow for quite a long runway for your magic carpet. Multi-day tickets purchased this year are valid through January 12, 2024, while single-day tickets will expire on December 30, 2023. Beyond that, each ticket has a little bit of magic that never fully runs out. If for some reason you are unable to make it within those windows, the value of expired tickets purchased from the Disneyland Resort website can be applied towards the purchase of a new ticket! Ticketing policies are subject to change, of course, but this has been a long-standing tradition for the Disneyland Resort. Life can throw a pumpkin in your path, so Guests are given quite a bit of flexibility if plans need to change.

I'm so happy you will be visiting during those last few weeks of summer! The local schools will have just returned to the classroom, so you might get to experience a bit more wiggle room in those Lightning Lanes and along Main Street, U.S.A. Be sure to make a point to experience both Disneyland Forever fireworks and the Main Street Electrical Parade at Disneyland Park! These special limited-time runs are coming to their end on September 1st, and we don't know when or if they will return! I was able to catch the Main Street Electrical Parade on my last visit. It's best enjoyed with a sweet treat from Candy Palace, in my opinion! The minute I caught the first notes of that unforgettable techno-beat and saw the parade round the bend, all the nostalgia and magic rushed back to my tiny Mouseketeer self watching it with my parents many decades ago. Truly, a special experience to see it again.

Zakariya, if you have any more questions, you know where to find us here at planDisney

    Magic awaits!
