Hi Erika! Welcome to planDisney.
As a military spouse, I am so grateful for the fantastic
military discounts that make it possible for my family to return to the Walt Disney World Resort again and again. I'm so happy to hear you're planning an autumn visit, and I'm happy to help you get your tickets linked so you can put your plans in place and focus on family fun!
The
Military Promotional Theme Park Tickets you purchase at your base ticket office come in a variety of forms, but they will all have a ticket ID printed on them. If you have a paper exchange certificate, look carefully for the number, including on the back. If you received a plastic ticket card, the number will be on the back, and a portion may be covered by a silver scratch-off area (scratch that off for the full number). Once you locate the ticket number, you'll enter it into your
My Disney Experience account.
Log in to My Disney Experience on your desktop or
mobile app. I'm going to walk you through the steps for the mobile app, but the desktop version is very similar. Tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom right, and then "Tickets and Passes." Then, tap the "+" symbol in the top right and then "Link Tickets & Passes." If you select "Where is the ID number?" you can even see a legend of different tickets to help find the number on your tickets. Enter the number on the line, or if you have plastic ticket cards, you may use the barcode scanner. Then, follow the prompts to link each ticket to each Guest in your party. (I like to write the name on each ticket with a permanent pen to make it easier when we arrive at Walt Disney World; you will need to visit Guest Relations to activate your military tickets by showing your military ID.)
Once you've linked your tickets, the next step is to make
Disney Park Pass reservations for each day you plan to enter a theme park.
This handy availability calendar is helpful as you plan your October dates. If you haven't already purchased your tickets, I recommend doing that and linking them as soon as you can, because October 1 is the kick-off for
The World's Most Magical Celebration, which is a party for Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary. Be sure to follow the
Disney Parks Blog as you get closer to your visit for great updates and news about the celebration.
If you have any issues linking your military tickets, please reach out to the helpful Cast Members at the My Disney Experience help desk at (407) 939-4357. I have had issues linking military tickets in the past, and they have always been able to wave their magic wands and get everything set.
Erika, thank you for your service to our country. I know just how important family time is for our military families, and it's a pleasure to help you make your plans. Please come back and see us if you think of any further questions.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
