I have my tickets purchased as well as the reservation for the park days. However, I have only 1 barcode shown for entry for 2 people. The entry says to show my card or magic band linked to my account. What card is this referring to? We don’t have bands

    Hi Lauren,
Welcome to planDisney! This teacher gives you an A+ for doing your homework and securing your valid park admission and Park Pass reservations currently required for theme park entry. Now that your tickets and Park Pass reservations are linked to individuals in My Disney Experience, we need a way to share that information with the Cast Members at the theme park entrances. Let's go over your three options:

    1. Purchase a MagicBand. MagicBands are not required but are available for purchase on shopdisney.com or in on-property retail stores such as Disney Pin Traders at Disney Springs.  If purchased, the MagicBand must be linked to your My Disney Experience account before entering the park. I've personally held off making MagicBand purchases until the new MagicBand+ styles are released.
    2. Obtain an admission card at the Guest Relations window located outside of each theme park entrance. During The World's Most Magical Celebration, each plastic card features one of the Fab 50 character sculptures and makes a great souvenEAR. Please pack your patience and allow extra time in case there is a line at Guest Relations.
    3. Take advantage of the Disney MagicMobile service. Available in the My Disney Experience mobile app, this service essentially turns eligible iPhones, Apple Watches or Google Pay enabled Android phones into MagicBands. In my experience, Disney MagicMobile service is not 100 percent reliable in all circumstances, but it's a great option that should get you in the parks without having to purchase a MagicBand or wait in line at Guest Relations.

When you see that Mickey head turn green after scanning in at the theme park entrance, Lauren, you'll know you've officially entered The Most Magical Place on Earth. Be sure to check out one or both of the new nighttime spectaculars that debuted as part of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary celebration: Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom park and Harmonious at EPCOT. Please return to planDisney if you'd like to review any other magical homework assignments.

    Choose magic,
