Hi there, Ruth, and welcome to planDisney!
You’re definitely on to something here. Some years ago, there was an
annual pass specifically for Florida residents called the EPCOT After 4 Pass. It was perfect for those short pop-ins after work to partake in the latest festival or entertainment offerings. Although this is no longer an option, there are other ways to experience EPCOT.
When you buy a
standard theme park ticket that allows entry to EPCOT, I recommend that you take it easy in the morning (the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival food booths, or Global Marketplaces, don’t open until late morning). Take a ride on Living with the Land, “fly” around the world on Soarin’, and visit marine life at Sea Base. If you’d like to take a midday break, watch an indoor show at the France Pavilion or exit the park via the International Gateway and walk around
Disney’s BoardWalk.
I love starting my trek around the World Showcase around the early afternoon. It’s right before my fellow locals arrive at EPCOT and it gives me enough time to try all of the yummy eats that are on my list. Also, you’ll feel stuffed and ready to dance it off at the
Eat to the Beat Concert Series performance later on that evening.
AN EXTRA GEM: For a future trip, if you’d also like to take advantage of shorter attraction queues and light sips and snacks, consider checking out the
Disney After Hours at EPCOT event. This event takes place after normal operating theme park hours and allows you to party the night away. There are also After Hours events at Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Adventure is out there, Ruth! I have a feeling that you’re going to have an amazing time this week. If you have any additional questions about your Walt Disney World visit,
give us a holler here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
