Hi, Samantha! Welcome to planDisney!
It looks like you're doing some dreaming about a future Walt Disney World Resort vacation. That's one of my favorite pastimes! There's nothing like planning all of the attractions you want to see, photos you want to take, and most importantly, food you want to eat! Wait...where were we? Oh yes, time to make some vacation plans!
Before we dive into ticket talk, we need to touch on
Disney's Park Pass reservation system. It's a tool Disney uses to limit capacity in the theme parks as part of the
phased reopening process. All Guests like us are required to make a reservation before visiting the parks, and the system will close reservations for any day that reaches capacity. Looking at the
Theme Park Reservations Availability Calendar, it looks like the day you were planning to visit, May 5, doesn't have any reservations available. Unfortunately, this also means we can't buy tickets for that particular day.
But let's look ahead to a different date so you can see how to find the price for tickets. Disney uses date-based ticket pricing, so the cost will vary depending on when you visit and how many days you plan to spend in the theme parks. Here are the steps to pricing your tickets:
- Go to the
Tickets page on the Walt Disney World website and select "Standard Ticket."
- Select the number of days you'll be visiting.
- Select the ticket type (this is where you can add options like
Park Hopper, but we'll go with 1 Park Per Day for now).
- Go to the calendar and select the date your ticket will start.
In the calendar, you'll see the ticket price for each day of that month. Let's say I wanted to buy two 3-Day tickets starting June 1, 2021. Click on June 1, and you'll see the days the tickets are valid highlighted, with your total price at the bottom of the calendar. In this case, my cost would be $248.37 each.
Scroll down a bit below the calendar to see a checklist with which parks have Disney Park Pass reservations available for your selected days. Once you buy your tickets, be sure to hop over to the Disney Park Pass page and make your reservations as soon as you can. They book up pretty fast!
Samantha, I hope this helps you plan your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. Please stop by again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
