Are tickets the same price online as they are if purchased at the gate?

    Hi Holly!

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

Yes, theme park tickets are the same price whether you choose to purchase them at the gate, through the Theme Park Tickets page of the website or through the My Disney Experience app.  That includes pricing for any extras you add on, like multiple days, the Park Hopper Option and the Water Park Fun & More Option.  Although it might be appealing to your wallet to wait until you're at Walt Disney World to purchase your tickets (and in some cases, that does make the most sense) there are some real advantages to buying your tickets in advance that you'll want to keep in mind.  First, you'll be able to make your FastPass+ selections in advance - 60 days before your arrival if you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel or 30 days before your arrival if you're not - once your tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account.  If you buy those in advance, you're also locking in the price, so there's not a chance that costs will go up before you arrive.  Not to mention that if you have your tickets in-hand when you get to the parks, you'll be able to go right in without any waiting in a potentially long line to start your day.

I hope that helps as you make your plans, Holly!  Please visit us again if we can help answer any other questions and wishing you a magical vacation!
