Hey there, hi there, ho there, Matthew!
You’re as welcome as can be to planDisney. And you are also as welcome as can be to the Disneyland Resort using your valid
theme park tickets.
For a recent visit to the Disneyland Resort, I purchased a ticket for my daughter and put down her nickname to link to her ticket instead of her actual name. The names associated with each of your theme park tickets are handy for keeping track of who is using which ticket. You may speak with a Cast Member on the
Tickets phone line to change the name on a ticket. But, to save you the time making a phone call, it is usually ok if the name doesn’t match the person using the ticket. As long as the tickets are wholly unused, they may be transferred to someone with a different name. Note that Guests using certain promotional tickets must still demonstrate eligibility to use those tickets. For example, Guests using a
Summer 2022 California Resident 3-Day Ticket must show a valid, government-issued photo ID that shows their current California address.
Tony’s Tip: When you activate a park ticket for this first time, the Cast Member at the park entrance will print out a ticket card that may be used for redeeming
Lightning Lane return times and for park re-entry. I recommend writing the name of the person using the ticket on that card. The ticket ID number on the card will also match the number displayed in the “Tickets and Passes” screen of the
Disneyland mobile app.
I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Matthew!
