Hey, Margaret!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the best special event at Magic Kingdom Park every year. We love seeing our favorite Disney Villains show off their wicked ways.
There are no guaranteed dining experiences during the party except for counter service restaurants like Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. I would suggest you avoid using valuable party time eating when there is so much to see and do. If you really want to eat at a Table Service restaurant then here are some tips.
1. Make the reservation
online over calling.
2. Check availability weekly online through My Disney Experience or by calling 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463).
3. Stay flexible. Search for times 30-60 minutes beyond your desired time and show up early. If there is availability you will likely be seated early.
4. About 6 weeks out from your desired dining time people will begin canceling reservations. Most cancel between 8:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. This is prime time to pick up your desired reservation. Make sure to check daily.
5. As a last resort, try to be taken as a walk-in. Cancellations happen at the last minute due to a variety of reasons and you'll be there to scoop up a table.
Disney Dad Tip: Watch out for the Headless Horseman and Hitchhiking Ghosts during the Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween parade. The best place to view the parade is along the wooden walkway in Frontierland or just in front of the Hall of Presidents attraction.
Margaret, enjoy making many Spooktacularly Magical Memories at
Walt Disney World Resort!
