If our tickets are not park-hoppers and we spend the day in Animal Kingdom, can we eat dinner at a restaurant in Epcot that same day? On the phone they told me we can, but when I go to make reservations, it says "valid park admission required."

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Janis!

The food at Walt Disney World Resort is one of my favorite things about our family vacations! Not only do the theme parks have fantastic restaurant options, but the resort hotels and Downtown Disney also have amazing culinary offerings for Guest. In order to dine in a restaurant in Epcot, you will need valid theme park admission to enter the park and get to the restaurant. So if you have not added the park hopper option to your tickets and you will plan spending your day at Disney's Animal Kingdom, then you will need to plan to enjoy dinner either in Disney's Animal Kingdom, one of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels or at Downtown Disney and enjoy an Epcot restaurant during a day when you will be using your park ticket to enjoy Epcot.

Disney's Animal Kingdom has some awesome dining options to offer, such as a meal with Donald Duck and friends at Tusker House Restaurant or fantastic Asian food at Yak & Yeti. One of my favorite restaurants is Sanaa, located at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Our family loves to to enjoy the African and Indian inspired food while looking out at the animals on the Savanna. It is breathtaking! You could also choose to enjoy my newest favorite spot for a fantastic meal - The BOATHOUSE. Located in Downtown Disney, this brand new restaurant has amazing seafood and steaks!
