Hey there, Robert. A warm welcome to planDisney from all of us to you. We're so glad you're here to ask us this question. Hooray! A visit to the Disneyland Resort is in your future and I'm so excited for you. I've been in the same situation and am happy to share my experience with you.
There's nothing better than sharing a day of magic with a friend. Your friend can absolutely use one of your theme park tickets with your name on it, as long as it's a separate ticket (and not part of a multi-day theme park ticket). The name on the ticket actually doesn't matter and is mostly helpful when organizing or managing multiple tickets within the
Disneyland app. I had a ticket in my name and gave it to my husband to use and we had no issues. Once the ticket is scanned for entry, the Cast Member will take a picture of your friend which will be used for the ticket holder identification.
Hopefully, that helps put you at ease. Now that we have that settled, it's time to start thinking about all of the wonderful things that you'll do during your Disney day. If you are visiting soon, you're in for a treat. The
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are here and I can't think of a better way to get into the spirit of things.
There are so many festive things to see, do and (most importantly) eat. I recommend checking out the
Foodie Guide for details on all the seasonal eats and treats around the resort. And if you haven't already, be sure to download the Disneyland app before your visit. It's a super handy tool with a map of the resort, attraction wait times and (my favorite) the ability to
mobile order food and beverage.
Well, Robert, I hope this helps as you get ready for your magical visit. If there's anything else you might be curious about, please come back to ask us. Here's wishing you and your friend a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
