Hi, we have tickets for mvmcp but also have 7pm dinner reservations at Raglan Rd in Disney Springs, Is it ok to come to the party around 8-8.30pm instead of 7? Would we miss anything or would the wait times to enter be longer? Thanks!

Hi Amy! Wow, you have a full night planned during your Walt Disney World vacation!

I strongly suggest you reconsider your dining in Disney Springs. Since you have already purchased your tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party you will not be able to get a refund. This is too much money to walk away from and besides it is an amazing special event party in the Magic Kingdom for only a set amount of guests each night.

The Raglan Road Irish Pub is located in Disney Springs and is a fun dining experience as there will be Irish dancing throughout the evening.

The problem is that if you have a 7pm reservation you would likely not even get to the Magic Kingdom until the earliest at 9:30. Dinner would take at least an hour and then transportation from Disney Springs will take at least an hour since you will have to get to a resort before you could then get a bus to the Magic Kingdom.

With your special event ticket to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party you can actually enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm. Many use this time to eat and then at 7pm the park is cleared of all guests except those that have the special wristband on. Lines for the attractions are generally not really that long during the party but if you want the absolute shortest lines then try during one of the parades. As the evening progresses and after the fireworks many guests will leave the park and it is the absolute best time to walk onto the attractions.

But enjoy the evening as the snow falls on Main Street, eating the cookies and drinking the hot chocolate. The Christmas parade is wonderful and the castle lights beyond magical!
