Hello, Victoria, and welcome to
planDisney!
Thank you so much for stopping by with your excellent question, it would be my great pleasure to assist a fellow Canadian Disney fan! Vacationing at
Walt Disney World Resort during the Holidays is Disney magic on another level, it is the merriest and jolliest place in the world if you ask me, and I’m thrilled you will be there, congratulations!
Guests who have special event separate tickets for
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will be allowed entry into Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4:00 PM without a Disney Park Pass – Theme Park Reservation, you are correct. If you enter earlier than 4:00 pm even with a dining reservation, you will need to use standard theme park admission and you will require a
Disney Park Pass – Theme Park Reservation. Therefore, your Disney Dining Reservation at Magic Kingdom Park for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party would have to be at 4:00 PM or later to save using a regular ticket.
Victoria, if it were me, I would try to eat at a nearby
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel in the Magic Kingdom Area such as Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney's Wilderness Lodge, or Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort for an early dinner, and then enter Magic Kingdom Park by 4:00 PM using your special event separate ticket for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
If you hold a Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket with the
Park Hopper® Option, you could visit a theme park early in the day with a Disney Park Pass – Theme Park Reservation, and then at 2:00 PM or later you could enter Magic Kingdom Park without a theme park reservation to enjoy a table service meal in the theme park at 3:00 PM. Just remember that you will need a Disney Dining Reservation for any table service meal inside a theme park.
My best advice without the Park Hopper® Option on your theme park tickets would be to rest up early in the day, enjoy an early dinner at a Disney Resort Hotel in the Magic Kingdom Area, or at Disney Springs where you could also do some shopping, and then head back to Magic Kingdom Park at 4:00 PM. Or, the simplest thing to do would be to try to secure a Disney Dining Reservation between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM inside Magic Kingdom Park to enjoy your dinner a bit earlier in preparation for this merry Christmas party.
Tip:Upon entry, don’t forget to pick up a special event theme park guide map to look for themed treats, special Disney character greets, shops that sell themed souvenirs, and much more, or refer to the interactive map on your
My Disney Experience App.
Victoria, I hope this information is helpful, I look forward to chatting again soon to help make your visit to Walt Disney World Resort during the holiday season and the
50th Anniversary Celebration the best it can be!
Merry Disney Wishes!
