Hi there Candace (from another Canadian Candace), it's nice to see you back at
planDisney!
It looks like your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth is not too far off, I'm so excited for you! Thanks for asking a great question about tickets, let's hop to it.
It's great you're sorted with the
My Disney Experience Mobile app and see your tickets linked to your account. I'm wondering if you took advantage of the great
Canadian Resident Ticket offer on stays of 5 days or longer at Walt Disney World Resort? If the answer is yes, these tickets likely appear yellow in your account and need to be activated by showing proof of Canadian residency (government-issued ID such as a passport). To activate these tickets, Guests can visit the Welcome Centre or Ticketing Centre at
Disney Springs (this is a convenient option for you since you are staying nearby), or at a ticket window or Will-call window at any of the four theme parks. When I used this offer and the timing worked, I went to Disney Springs to activate my tickets. This saved time on park days and allowed my family to dive right into our Disney day!
Some Canadians have their tickets show up in blue in their My Disney Experience accounts. If this is the case for you, your tickets are already active and you are good to go! You can head straight to the parks and tap your phone, physical card, Apple Watch or
DisneyBand for park entry. If you'd like a physical card, you can visit a ticket window or Will-Call window and they can provide one.
Tip: Disney Gift Cards are a fantastic way for Canadians to save on currency conversion fees. Unlike a credit card, Disney Gift Cards do not have any conversion fees. They can be purchased at many large retailers and are purchased in Canadian fees. When you use them at Walt Disney World Resort, you'll receive the exchange rate from the previous day (and the new total will be printed on your receipt in US funds). You can combine up to five Disney Gift Cards by visiting
www.disneygiftcard.com.
Candace, I hope you have a wonderful summer trip to Walt Disney World Resort. Be sure to swing by EPCOT's Canada Pavilion and view the beautiful gardens modelled after the stunning Butchart Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia. Please let me know if you have any more questions, I'm happy to help!
Bon voyage,
Candace
