We have tickets to MNSSHP for Oct 3. Looking for costumes for the kiddos DS4 and DS5 and wondering about the weather. Most costumes they want are pants and long sleeves and I'm worried they may get too hot. Tips on weather or "summer" costumes?

    Hi Shelley!

We love Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!  It is one of our absolute favorite experiences in the parks!  We've been able to attend the party many times over the past several years, and have found that the temperature can be a bit more 'tropical' as far as the weather is concerned.

For our kids, we try to encourage costumes that are short sleeved, or that are light-weight.  Most of the time this doesn't work, so we usually resort to letting them wear their 'real' costume until they get hot, and then changing into street clothes.

You can easily do family costumes using the short-sleeved character costume tees found on disneystore.com.  They have some great ones (for children and adults) including Buzz, Woody, and Boba Fett.  If you search 'costume tee' you'll find some of the options available.  These are a great option and can be worn year round!

    Have a magical vacation!
