Hey Bethany-
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so glad you reached out and very sad you have to cancel your trip. Hopefully everything will work out with your family and you will find another time visit Mickey and the gang.
Special event tickets like
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are “nontransferable and nonrefundable”. That being said, Walt Disney World Resort wants to do everything they can to help you. I would suggest the following. Please contact a Cast Member at (407) 939-7679 and explain to them your specific family emergency. Since you have party tickets that are not linked to any particular guest in
My Disney Experience you may gift them to friends. Changing the party night is the real trick but it can be done. My cousin had this exact issue and was able to change the party night for his family of four. Because tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are different prices throughout out the season (the most expensive the closer to Halloween), you may need to pay more for the night you are changing to or even get a refund. My cousin received a refund. Talk about a magical moment!
Disney Dad Tip: Before you call Walt Disney World Resort, discuss the date with the friends who will receive the tickets. I would look up whether the event is more or less expensive. This will help as you chat with the Disney Cast Member
Bethany, if there is anything else I can do to help you please
let me know.
Have a Magical Day!
