Hi Kelley,
My family and I attended Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party for the first time in 2012. It was so much fun! Our whole family (yes, my husband included!) dressed up at Tinker fairies from Tinker Bell. We met Tinker Bell while in our costumes and had absolutely wonderful interaction with her.
I really enjoyed trick or treating around Magic Kingdom Park. When you arrive at the party, you will be given trick or treat bags. It was fun find all of the trick or treat locations! Also, don't miss Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade and Happy HalloWishes. This nighttime parade and fireworks are special and absolutely not to be missed. Also, because there are typically less people in the Magic Kingdom for the party than during a regular day, it's a great time to ride some of your favorite attractions with less of a wait. There is more information about
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party online, including other special entertainment.
Although official dates for the party have not yet been released and tickets are not yet on sale, this information should be coming soon. I have no official information as to when dates will be released and tickets will go on sale; however, this happened in early May last year so based on that it should be pretty soon! I recommend that you monitor the
Disney Parks Blog as information is likely to be released there. It seems to me that you are staying for a long enough time in the middle of October that you will be there for at least a couple of the parties to choose from.
I hope that this information helps, Kelley! Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
