Bright suns, Karen! While it does help to be strong with the Force, one need not be a Jedi Knight to access
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at
Disney's Hollywood Studios!
Your Disney Park Pass reservation for Disney's Hollywood Studios will gain you access to the land known as Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. You don't need a separate reservation to get into the land. There are two main attractions (rides) in this awe-inspiring land. The first is
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. In order to experience this attraction, you must secure a Boarding Group through the
My Disney Experience app. Boarding Groups are assigned at two times of the day: 7:00AM and 2:00PM. As long as you are within proximity of the Walt Disney World Resort, you can access the app at 7:00AM. For example, you could do this from your resort hotel or the parking lot. However, if you are going to try for the 2:00PM assignment of Boarding Groups, you must be inside of Disney's Hollywood Studios. Once on the My Disney Experience app, look for "Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance - Request Access with Virtual Queue." Once on this page, tap "Join" and follow the prompts. Use quick fingers because Boarding Groups go faster than the Millennium Falcon making the Kessel Run!
Speaking of the Millennium Falcon, the second main attraction is called
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. This ride puts you into the cockpit of the most famous Corellian freighter in the galaxy! You do not need a Boarding Group to experience this attraction. Guests wait in a traditional standby line. While you wait in the line, take a moment to gaze around. What the Disney Imagineers have accomplished with Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is nothing short of amazing!
Karen, after you leave Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, come back to planet Earth with a ride aboard
Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway! This is the newest attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios! I love this ride! What is supposed to be a peaceful ride along the rails turns into an animated adventure through the colorful cartoon world of Mickey Mouse! Of course, what else would you expect with Goofy as the engineer! Oh, be sure to look out for the tornado!
