I have tickets to Magic Kingdom and Epcot At will call.. I am coming in March 7 and 8. I would like to upgrade to a genie pass ? How do I go about doing this? Thanks, Steve .

    Hi there, Steven!

Thanks for bringing your question to us today. I'm excited to hear about your upcoming visit and am happy to help.

First, I want to be sure we are on the same page. If you are hoping to add Disney Genie+ Service to your tickets to access Lighting Lane entrances for your favorite attractions in the parks you'll first need to ensure your tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience Account. My pal Leslie walks through the steps here for linking them online or via the My Disney Experience Mobile App.

Once your tickets are linked you'll be able to purchase Disney Genie+ Service beginning at midnight for each day of your visit. I usually complete the purchase just before I make my first Lightning Lane selection for the day at 7 a.m. Keep in mind you'll need to purchase Genie+ each day you plan to use it, and will not have the option to add it for both dates of your trip at the same time.

If you are instead hoping to upgrade your standard theme park tickets to an Annual Pass, there are some different steps to take. As long as your tickets are eligible for upgrade, you should be able to complete the process in person at Guest Relations, or by phone at (407) 939-7277. Since you have a multi-day ticket you should be able to upgrade to an available Annual Pass type before using all your admission entitlements. I'd recommend upgrading on or before the first day of use so you can take advantage of the special offers and discounts available for Annual Passholders.

The Disney Pixie Dust Pass, Disney Pirate Pass and Disney Sorcerer Pass are available for Florida Residents so be sure to have proof of residency available if you're hoping to upgrade to one of these pass types. You'll also want to be sure to check the blockout date calendar for this and any subsequent visits. Finally, your current date-based theme park tickets likely did not require a theme park reservation, but Annual Passholders are required to make the appropriate reservations for each date they plan to visit the parks. The exception would be on Good-to-Go Days and visits after 2 p.m. at select parks. Once you've upgraded your ticket to an Annual Pass you'll need to make theme park reservations before entering the parks.

Steven, if I've misunderstood your inquiry or you have additional questions please come back and let us know. You're also welcome to reach out to a Cast Member by phone for further assistance. I'm wishing you a magical visit in the next few weeks!
