Hi Sherri, welcome to planDisney!
I see you embracing the technology that comes with planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation and I appreciate you. Your family will appreciate spending less time waiting in line and more time experiencing attractions with
Disney Genie+ service. There will also be more time for snack breaks, meaning your efforts will be rewarded in DOLE Whips and Mickey pretzels. Life does not get much sweeter than that!
Valid admission, a theme park reservation for each person for each park day, and a method of entry (
MagicBand, admission card, and/or
Disney MagicMobile pass) are currently required for theme park entry for all Guests over the age of three. You've asked a great question about whether or not you can give multiple adults access to a child's MagicMobile pass. The short answer is "yes for eligible iPhones (sharing is not currently supported on Android devices)," but please stick with me for the specifics.
For children whose My Disney Experience accounts are managed by an adult, only the managing adult can create their MagicMobile pass. This task is completed in the
My Disney Experience mobile app by clicking the three small lines at the bottom right of the home screen --> Disney MagicMobile --> "Set Up Your Pass" --> select the names of the individuals you want to create a pass for --> "Add to Apple Wallet." Before adding your Disney MagicMobile pass to your digital wallet, you can click "Change Pass Style" to choose from a variety of adorable options. My son chose the Pixar ball for his pass while my daughter chose Cinderella Castle. You can create Disney MagicMobile passes for multiple people at the same time. Once all of the desired pass designs have been chosen, proceed through the prompts to finalize the pass creation process.
To share a previously created Disney MagicMobile pass with others, click those three lines at the bottom right of the My Disney Experience app --> Disney MagicMobile --> Select Passes to Share. The "Set Up Your Pass" option no longer appears since you've already created a pass or two, but you can always add a new pass by clicking the "+" sign at the top right of the screen. The next screen asks you to select the passes you want to share. You'll then click "Share via Messages." These passes can be shared through Apple iMessage with anyone in your contacts list that has an iPhone. After the next "Share Pass" prompt, you can add in the recipients for the pass(es) just like you would with any text message. Once sent, the recipient will be able to click "Add" to add the pass(es) directly to their Apple wallet.
Still with me, I hope? I know things got a little technical there. I will share that I was unable to share my children's newly created Disney MagicMobile passes until about thirty minutes after it was created. Before that, the text did not go through. Not sure if you'll experience that, as well, but I encourage you to have patience while you wait for the pixie dust to settle.
If sharing Disney MagicMobile passes does not work for your family, Sherri, my family has also passed off MagicBands and admission cards in the past. There's no wrong way to experience the magic. I already know your children are going to have their best days ever because they have so many caring adults looking out for them. You are the magic!
Plan magic; planDisney.
