Hi Rhonda,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is positively dreamy after the sun goes down. The neon lights (I particularly love the neon Pluto near the park entrance), shadows of the palm trees against the night sky, and music from Hollywood’s golden age combine to create a truly magical atmosphere.
I’m so excited that you’ll get to see what kind of fun the toys get up to after dark when you attend
Disney After Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Toy Story Land holds its own special magic in the dark, where you can see the lights Andy has strung up in his backyard and see Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers in a whole new light. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is extra foreboding in the dark, too!
Rhonda, I checked with a Cast Member about your options for getting back to Disney’s BoardWalk Resort after the event ends. She confirmed that
Friendship Boats will be traveling between the theme park and BoardWalk area, and you’ll also have the option of taking a bus. You may also want to consider walking; it’s about a 10-minute walk, but a very peaceful and pretty one.
I recommend checking in with a Cast Member at Disney’s Hollywood Studios when you arrive to get the most up-to-date information about your transportation options. There’s some very exciting construction going on at that park, which means things are subject to change, and Cast Members are happy to assist you.
Have so much fun, Rhonda! Take an extra ride on the super-stretch limo on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith for me - it's my favorite!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
