To answer your question, Claudia, it depends! If you will be spending a day at Magic Kingdom Park on a day where there is no
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, then spending the day at Magic Kingdom on your party day can be a great strategy. On past trips, I’ve experienced the lowest crowds I’ve ever seen at Magic Kingdom on party days during the month of September, specifically in the first part of the month. This is based on my experiences, but it’s been a consistent trend I’ve noticed in recent years. It’s important to note, as I mentioned in my
previous answer, that there are no
Happily Ever After fireworks or
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parades on party nights. If you’d like to experience those, you should definitely consider another day at Magic Kingdom somewhere in your trip.
Alternatively, if you opt to start your day at a different park and want to enter Magic Kingdom at 4 PM with your party ticket, this is also a viable strategy! If you have a good strategy for your Animal Kingdom Park day, you can get a lot done in the morning and early afternoon before making your way to Magic Kingdom. Note that if you opt for the
Park Hopper Option on your tickets, you’ll be able to enter Magic Kingdom as soon as you arrive. You’ll then be able to pick up your party wrist band, party map, and tote bag from designated stations inside the park.
Another thing I’d consider is taking a break in the afternoon before the party. The event goes until midnight! If you start your day at a park and go all the way until midnight, that’s certainly a long day. A nice break in the afternoon can go a long way and make your evening a little more pleasant. Having said that, if you want to spend all of your time in the parks, I totally understand that, and I’ve definitely done this myself. Again, there are no wrong answers here. It all comes down to what you think is right for you and your family!
