Boo to you, Allison, and welcome to planDisney!
I’m so glad to hEAR that you’re already thinking about how to celebrate
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort! From the spookily-delicious treats to the haunting décor, there’s so much fall fun to be had. It sounds like this will be your first visit to the Disneyland Resort in several years, which makes me even more excited for you!
I did some research, and found that ticket for
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party went on sale last year on July 13, 2021, after taking a break in 2020 due to the temporary closure of the Disneyland Resort. Back in 2019, tickets went on sale to the general public on April 30. So, we don’t know exactly when tickets will go on sale this year, though we do know that this event will be returning this fall! My best recommendation is to stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog for an official announcement on when we can expect tickets to this this frightfully-fun event to be released.
Now, let’s get you up-to-speed on
the latest information about the Disneyland Resort! Perhaps the most important difference to be familiar with is that attendance is now managed through a
new park reservation system that requires all Guests to have a reservation for park entry in advance. Magic Morning and Extra Magic Hour offerings are currently unavailable as the Resort manages attendance. So, to enter Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, both a theme park reservation and valid admission ticket, for the same park on the same date, are required for Guests ages 3 and up.
In addition, though FASTPASS and Disney MaxPass have been retired, we now have
Disney Genie service! Disney Genie service takes your input on the Disneyland app and creates your best Disney day based on your top interests. There’s even a personalized itinerary creator to save you time as you navigate the theme parks. Think of it as GPS for your Disneyland Resort adventures! Then, for an additional fee, you can add Disney Genie+ service to your tickets for even more convenience and flexibility. You can begin using Disney Genie+ as soon as you enter the theme parks, in order to secure Lightning Lanes for your must-do attractions.
Check out this page for some helpful videos on this exciting new option.
Last but not least,
dining reservations can be made up to 60 days before your arrival date, so you’ll want to start thinking about where your group would like to eat in the next few months.
I hope this information helps, Allison! I know it’s a lot to take in, so if you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to drop by… we love making your magical dreams come true!
As my favorite Haunted Mansion ghost would say, “Hurry back!”
