Hi, so I got tickets to go to not so scary Halloween night but not the normal ticket to go in the day. My question is if I’m able to upgrade or pay the difference so I am able to attend both magic kingdom in the day and not so scary Halloween at night.

Congratulations, Marvin! You scored tickets to one of the most popular events of the fall season at the Walt Disney World Resort! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is such an amazing experience! Let’s get right to your answer and then I’ll offer a few tips!

If you want to visit Magic Kingdom Park on the same day that you have tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, then you would need to purchase a regular day ticket to attend the park. Your ticket to the Halloween festivities can’t be combined with a day ticket to pay the difference or to gain admittance into the park during the day.

I want to offer some tips that might help plan your day (and save you some money)! That’s what we like to do here at planDisney!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party begins at 7:00 PM. However, your party ticket will allow you to enter the park as early as 4:00 PM! Yes! Take advantage of those extra three hours! The party ends at midnight. That’s eight hours in the park! That’s just like spending a full day in the park! When my family attends Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party we make that our “Magic Kingdom Park day" rather than spending money on additional tickets for the same park. We've never had any problem getting in everything that we wanted to experience at the park during the hours of the party.

Also, keep in mind that you can get in line for an attraction up until 11:59 PM. That’s right! As long as you are in line for an attraction, you can remain in line until you experience the attraction, even after the park officially closes!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party runs late, so we like to sleep in that morning knowing we are going to be up late. We’ll usually sleep, then spend the day by the pool or at the resort before we head over to the park for the 4:00 entry time.

Marvin, I hope these party tips are helpful! Please feel free to send more questions to planDisney!

    Happy Planning (and Happy Halloween)!
