How to you get tickets to the Galaxy edge Ride in Hollywood studios

As we say on the planet Batuu, Bright Suns Jamie!

It's great to welcome you to the special slice of the galaxy that we call planDisney, and it sounds like you're looking to enjoy one of the epic Star Wars attractions found at Disney's Hollywood Studios! As a seasoned space traveler myself in the Outer Rim Territories I'm happy to help you find a way to embark on one of two possible missions found in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge:

    • In the past, a Virtual Queue system was in place for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance but this is currently not required. Due to its immense popularity, you should be prepared for extended waits throughout the day; I personally aim to ride either first thing in the morning utilizing a rope drop strategy or Early Theme Park Entry whenever possible, or taking advantage of the showtimes of Fantasmic! in the evenings to hop in line when many folks and families are occupied with seeing the show. A Lightning Lane Single Pass is currently offered for this attraction which does vary in price depending on the day of your visit for one ride and is only available to what the Walt Disney World Resort website refers to as "the most in-demand attractions.
    • Throughout my frequent visits to Black Spire Outpost, I have also observed that Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run typically does not see the same extended waits and currently has the option for folks to utilize a Single Rider line for this attraction. (This allows you to gain entry via a shorter queue and more often than not results in you taking on the role of Engineer in the Millennium Falcon cockpit as positions are filled.) Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run is also available to those who have purchased a Lightning Lane Multi Pass which also gives you access to other attractions with a shorter wait.
Personally, as a Star Wars fan myself I highly recommend looking into purchasing one of the Special Event Tickets throughout the year that provide you with access to Disney's Hollywood Studios in the evening, for a chance to ride these over and over with significantly shorter waits. Don't hesitate to come back to us here at planDisney for any other stellar strategies!

Wishing you all the best on your next intergalactic quest!
