I have 2 tickets to use for a future date however, the other guest and I are no longer in a relationship. Can I transfer his ticket to him if he has a Disney account?

Hey there, hi there, Andrea! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! We’re happy to help with all-things-Disney—including your ticket transfer question!

Great news! Yes, you can definitely add your Disneyland Resort ticket to the other guest’s account. The reason I say "add" is because it's actually more of a link than a transfer, and it's super easy—it should only take a few minutes. I’m happy to walk you through it!

First, you’ll want to double-check that the ticket is linked to your own Disney account. Open the Disneyland mobile app, tap the menu button (those three little lines at the bottom right), and select “My Tickets & Passes”. If the ticket is there, that's a great first step! Then, you'll just need to link it to the other guest's account.

Please have the other guest follow a similar process on his end. He should open the Disneyland app, tap the menu button, and select “My Tickets & Passes”. Then, he'll tap the blue plus (+) sign at the top right and select “Link Tickets & Passes”. If you're together as you walk through these steps, he can use the "Camera" tab to scan your ticket. If you're not together, no problem! You can send him a screenshot of the ticket or the ticket’s ID number, which he can enter using the “Type ID” tab. After entering the number and pressing the “Link Media” button, he should be good to go. If either of you runs into issues while trying to link tickets, your best bet is to call the ticket support line and speak with a friendly Cast Member who will be happy to assist you.

Now, here’s something else to keep in mind, Andrea: If this is a multi-day ticket that's already been partially used, only the person who first used the ticket at the parks can continue to use it. Once that first park entry is scanned, the ticket is tied to that person. Partially used tickets can't be transferred. However, if you have a completely unused ticket and want to transfer it to a different person entirely, you can do that by calling the ticket support line.

My biggest tip, Andrea, is to be sure to download the Disneyland app—it's incredibly handy for so much more than just managing tickets! You can use it to explore park maps, browse menus, and even make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance. Getting familiar with the app before you arrive can really help you maximize your time and plan out your perfect Disney day.

I hope this information is helpful, Andrea! If you have additional questions about anything else, from must-see entertainment to finding the best snacks in the parks, please don't hesitate to ask. Have a magical day!
