Hello, we have tickets for 4 but just found out 2 can’t make it in October. Can we get our money back before a certain date or get a credit to use in 2024/2025? They can’t go in 2023 either. Thanks.

Hey Howdy Hey Matt and welcome back to planDisney!

One of the best parts about a trip to Walt Disney World Resort is the flexibility you have when it comes to planning and making changes that inevitably may come up. Thank you for your question about specifics with park tickets, let's see what we can come up with for a solution!

With the purchase of theme park tickets only, the sales on these are final and no refunds are allowed. If you are unable to use some of the tickets you already purchased, you do have a few options.

The first is reassigning the tickets to someone else in your party. If you have a few members that are unable to attend your upcoming trip but others that now want to, you can reassign these tickets to another member of the traveling party as long as they are connected with your "Friends and Family" on the My Disney Experience account. Log into your account and go to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section and look for the heading "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker" which you will click on. You should see all the tickets and the members they are connected to. On the right of the screen, you should see a drop-down menu to reassign the tickets which should bring up another member of your party and you are set! If you wanted to keep the tickets but use them at a later time, this is still possible but a little tricky.

All tickets do come with an expiration date on them which you should find in the instructions above. If you wanted to change the date of the ticket to a time outside of this expiration date window, this may be possible with the help of a Cast Member. You will have to give Disney a call and explain your situation to a Cast Member to move the tickets potentially to 2024. In most cases, Disney will apply what you paid for the tickets and apply the amount to the price of a future ticket. Depending on when you change the dates, you will be responsible for the difference in price for the future change.

Best of luck as you move through the process of changing the dates of the tickets as well as planning your upcoming trip. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out and let us know, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
