Hi Angie, welcome to planDisney!
The Disney Parks Blog recently posted an
article declaring that 2024 Walt Disney World Resort vacations will involve less planning and more fun. Sounds good to me!
Disney Dining Plans return just in time for my family's January visit and the return of all-day
Park Hopper access gives us the ultimate flexibility when determining our itinerary.
The start date for Disney Dining Plans and all-day Park Hopper access is January 9, 2024, which is also when theme park reservations are no longer needed for date-based tickets. Not even Madame Leota knows the ripple effects these changes to park entry protocol will have, but I'm confident in the data-driven decisions that drive Disney's carousel of progress. I personally do not expect the sale of date-based tickets to be affected by these changes. It's more likely that a certain park may reach capacity, requiring Guests to visit a different theme park. If a theme park reaches capacity, a push notification is sent via the
My Disney Experience mobile app. In my experience, this rarely happens and is isolated to select hours of the busiest days of the year like July 4 and New Year's Eve at Magic Kingdom Park.
When planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation dates, Angie, take time to carefully consider your personal calendar. There's no need to feel rushed. I do recommend purchasing your theme park tickets before your arrival date so you can make sure they're linked in
My Disney Experience and make plans for your
method of entry (MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card).
I've been visiting Walt Disney World Resort for almost 40 years. I can assure you the magic never runs out and will be waiting for you on
Main Street, U.S.A. Choose magic,
