Hi Stephanie! Welcome to planDisney! Celebrating New Year’s Eve at
EPCOT sounds like an incredible way to start the new year! Throughout the day, you’ll have the chance to enjoy unique entertainment, incredible performances, and themed celebrations in each World Showcase pavilion, and you’ll be among the lucky ones to experience the countdown to midnight with Guests from all around the world.
As for entry, it’s important to know that admission isn’t guaranteed, even with a ticket, as park capacity limits can apply to both reservation-based tickets (such as Military Salute Tickets or Annual Passes) and date-based tickets (like 1-day or multi-day tickets that don’t require reservations). While these situations are rare, capacity limits are outlined in the
park pass terms and conditions and mean that, particularly on peak days, the parks may temporarily restrict entry to manage Guest volume.
New Year’s Eve is among the busiest days of the year at Walt Disney World, and crowds are usually at their highest. With this in mind, I recommend arriving at EPCOT early in the morning and planning to stay through the evening. By making a day of it, you’ll have the best chance of being there to raise a glass of Champagne from the France Pavilion and join the exciting countdown with fellow guests.
I hope this helps answer your question, Stephanie! If you’d like more suggestions to make your celebration unforgettable, I’d love to help you plan out the day. Start with a festive breakfast at
Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in France, grab a quick lunch at the
Pizza Window near Italy, and wrap up with a delicious steak dinner at
Le Cellier Steakhouse in the Canada Pavilion. Then, you can settle into a cozy spot for that midnight moment you’ll never forget!
Cheers,
Brent
