I have 4 tickets for Disneyland, but how do I give my kids and husband access to have their own tickets on their phone for fast passes and park entry if we decide to separate at the park?

    Hey there Amber,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! It's great to meet a fellow "keeper of the theme park tickets." I typically carry that responsibility as well on our family trips!

You bring up a great point though - what if your group splits up during your visit? For starters, I'm a huge proponent of the Disneyland mobile app. It's hands-down my preferred method of accessing park maps and entertainment schedules, but it can also hold your ticket info (including a barcode that they can scan at the gate).

When you're in the mobile app, if you click the menu button then tap "Tickets and Passes" and select "Link Tickets & Passes," you can scan your tickets or input the ticket ID manually for anyone in your group that has the mobile app. They'll just need to create their own Disney.com account and they're good to go.

I especially prefer linking tickets in the mobile app if your group is using the Disney Genie+ service as it will allow you to make Lightning Lane selections for your whole group, and if your group is split then members of their party can make their own Lightning Lane selections, or scan their PhotoPass photos into the app to share with the group later (since it comes with the Disney Genie+ service).

However, if members of your group are not able to use the Disneyland mobile app (or just don't want to be buried in their phone while at the Happiest Place on Earth - I get that!), then my suggested trick is to just take screenshots of everyone's tickets and text it to them. Whenever they're scanning into the parks they can just use this photo with the ticket barcode to get in! In fact, I'll often use this method myself as it can be quicker for me to access my photo app than navigate to the Tickets section of the Disneyland mobile app.

You're going to be visiting during the Merriest Time of Year, so I hope you all enjoy your trip! Thanks again for your question, Amber.

    Have a Magical day,
    Greg
