Welcome to planDisney, Ryan. Thanks for dropping by with your question.
I cannot believe it’s almost a year since Disneyland Resort theme parks shut its gates due to the pandemic. During this really rough time, many people (myself included!) have been yearning for some Disney magic. I am eagerly waiting for the day I can take my family to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park again. I long for strolls down Main Street USA and admiring Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, as well as hanging out at
Oga’s Cantina or speeding on
Radiator Springs Racers.
The Disneyland Resort recently
updated extension dates for tickets purchased before theme park closure. For non-promotional single day tickets that expire on December 30, 2020 or March 21, 2021, the expiration date has been extended to December 16, 2021. Wholly unused, non-promotional multi-day tickets that expire January 12, 2021 or April 13, 2021 will now have expiration date extended to December 16, 2021, and the ticket will expire 13 days after first use or on December 16, 2021, whichever comes first. Ryan, please rest assured that in general, most wholly unused theme park tickets will retain its original purchased value even after they expire, which means you can apply this value towards purchase of new tickets if you decide to travel after December 16, 2021. Expiration dates on eligible ticket(s) will be updated before Disneyland Resort theme parks’ reopening.
I hope this tidbit of information helps, Ryan. Be sure to stay up to date on the latest updates and official Disney news by checking out

Always believe in the magic,
Kiki
