i have tickets for cirque du soleil at 6 pm, will i have enough time to get to dinner at flying fish for 830pm, on the boardwalk?

    Hi Gail,

The Cirque du Soleil show La Nouba lasts about 90 minutes, so you probably will have time to get to your dinner reservation but it may be tight. I'm not sure if you are driving or if you will be using the free Walt Disney World transportation, so let me fill you in on both.

The Boardwalk resort is about a 10- to 15-minute drive from the West Side of Downtown Disney, depending on traffic. You will need to allow a few minutes, too, to park and walk to the restaurant. Please remember that parking is somewhat constricted at Downtown Disney now as the construction is underway to convert the area to the new Disney Springs.

I always like to allow at least an hour to get where I'm going on the Disney transportation system. You will need to catch the bus at the station near Planet Hollywood, and, if I remember correctly, the bus may stop at a couple of other resorts before reaching Boardwalk.

Your fastest option -- one that should get you to Boardwalk on time with no problem -- is to take a taxi. There's a taxi stand right outside the Cirque du Soleil theater. I'm a fan of the free Disney transportation, but will often use the taxi option for dinner reservations at resorts when a bus can be cumbersome. The ride from Downtown Disney to Boardwalk should easily be less than $20, including tip, and will give you the ease of knowing you won't be late.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you as you make your plans. Flying Fish, by the way, is fabulous. Enjoy!
