Hi there, Kimberly, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I always enjoy helping my fellow Californians plan their next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
Theme park ticket pricing is divided into three different categories: Children under the age of 3, ages 3-9, and ages 10+. Luckily for you, children under the age of 3 receive complimentary admission! So, your 5-year-old will fit within the ages 3-9 category. Ticket pricing depends on several factors, including the length of your stay, and whether you’d like a 1-Park per day ticket, or a Park Hopper ticket. A Park Hopper will allow you to go back-and-forth between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park throughout your Disney days. You can customize your theme-park ticket selection online
here.
You can also choose to add
Disney MaxPass to your tickets for the current price of $15 per day, per ticket. This is a great way to maximize your time in the parks, by allowing you to make digital Disney FASTPASS selections directly from your mobile device. So, if you were park hopping between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, you could make a FASTPASS selection for one park while you’re still in the other – this is a great time-saver!
Also, here’s a
handy guide for visiting the parks with your little Mouseketeers, including an adorable
toddler-friendly attraction map. Some of my children’s favorite attractions and shows include
Disney Junior Dance Party!,
Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind,
Jessie’s Critter Carousel,
Casey Junior Circus Train,
Dumbo the Flying Elephant,
“it’s a small world,” and
Mickey and the Magical Map. Meeting Disney Princesses at
Royal Hall is another one of our favorite experiences!
I recommend taking advantage of the
Baby Care Centers (there’s one in each park) to change or feed your littlest Mouseketeer.
Lastly, here’s the
Entertainment Schedule for your arrival date so you can start mapping out the magic!
See ya’ real soon!
