Are tickets you can buy from third party vendors (i.e. Maple Leaf or DW Tickets) the same as the tickets you get from DW? Do the tickets you buy from CSAA provide any additional benefits?

I have used Undercover Tourist to purchase tickets. I've found them very reputable. Once, I even had to return an unused ticket and their customer service was exceptional.

They are the same tickets that you would receive from Walt Disney World. Paper tickets that you will carry with you. Copy the back of the tickets in case they are lost!

You will have to check with your local automobile club office to see if any benefits are given with the tickets. Usually the tickets are just sold at a discount price although not all Automobile Club offices sell WDW tickets. Packages through these clubs sometimes offer additional benefits.
