Hi Amber, welcome to planDisney!
It sounds like you're on Step 5 of the
Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Planning Checklist. It may feel like you're venturing
Into the Unknown, but planDisney panelists have been there, planned that, so let your conscience and our experience be your guide on this exciting journey.
I understand you plan to spend four days in the theme parks in mid-September. Great choice! Theme park tickets for Walt Disney World Resort feature dynamic pricing, which means the price depends on the ticket length as well as the use dates. 1-day, 1 Park Per Day tickets include a
theme park reservation and their cost depends on the date as well as the selected theme park.
I just did the Mickey math and it looks like four 1-day, 1 Park Per Day tickets currently cost slightly less than a 4-day, 1 Park Per Day ticket for your desired theme parks on September 18-21. When purchasing a 1-day, 1 Park Per Day ticket, you must select your desired theme park at the time of purchase. After you add one of the tickets to your cart, you can return to the
ticket page to add each additional ticket, which allows you to purchase all of your tickets in one transaction. A theme park reservation for each day will be made for you, based on the park you select for each ticket, and the reservation is only valid for the date and park purchased. If you modify your date or park, a new reservation will be made for you and you will be asked to pay the difference if you switch to a park or date with a higher ticket price.
Once your tickets and theme park reservations are linked to your
My Disney Experience account, the only other thing you'll need to enter a theme park is a
method of entry (MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card).
Disney MagicMobile passes can be downloaded via the
My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the app's home page --> Disney MagicMobile) to eligible iPhones, Apple Watches, and Google Pay-enabled Android phones. If you'd like to receive a complimentary admission card in the mail, select "See more delivery options" during checkout and select one of the shipping options. One method of entry connects to all tickets linked to you in My Disney Experience.
I'm Happy as the dwarf to answer
any remaining questions about the process of buying theme park tickets and securing your theme park reservations, Amber. When you get to
Step 7, I'm also on call for all your Disney dining questions!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
