Hi KalinaJay! Welcome to planDisney.
As a military spouse, I'd like to thank you for your service to our country. I am so grateful for the military discounts that allow my family to call the Walt Disney World Resort our vacation "home" - we have made so many magical memories together in our happy place that have helped during long separations. I'm delighted to hear you're planning a visit next year.
Base ticket offices sell several different types of military-discounted theme park tickets. If you have the
2021 Military Promotional Theme Park Tickets, they expire on December 17, 2021. My advice would be to link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account - once linked, the expiration date will display.
To do this, open the
My Disney Experience mobile app and tap the three horizontal lines on the bottom right. Then, tap "Tickets and Passes" and then the "+" symbol on the top right. Next, tap "Link Tickets & Passes." From there, you can use the barcode scanner to scan the barcode on your tickets or enter the Ticket ID number. Tap "Where is the ID number?" for a guide with sample tickets that will help you locate the Ticket ID. Then, follow the steps to link each ticket to a Guest. Once they are linked, you'll see your Tickets in the app and be able to see the expiration date.
If you're having trouble linking your tickets, please
call the My Disney Experience help desk and a friendly Cast Member will be happy to help. I have also found the staff at
Shades of Green to be very helpful - this is the resort hotel for military members located on Walt Disney World Resort property, and they are very knowledgeable about the different military theme park tickets.
If you do have 2021 tickets, I recommend reaching out to Guest Relations to ask about upgrading your tickets. I have always found Disney's Cast Members to be very understanding about the challenges military families can face with travel and unexpected schedule changes, so please reach out if you need assistance.
You can find all the details about the
2022 Disney Military Salute Tickets on that offer's webpage. They are available now at base ticket offices and through Shades of Green. Once you have your tickets linked, be sure to make your
Disney Park Pass theme park reservations for each day of your visit. Reservations are required to enter a theme park, and it's best to make your reservations early for the best availability.
Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question, KalinaJay! I recently shared my
tips for military families visiting Walt Disney World with the Disney Parks Blog, and I hope they're helpful as you do your planning. We're here to help if you have any further questions!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
