    We had tickets in 2020 and bought magic bands We could not come because park was closed. I tossed the bands so the kids would be reminded of the trip that never was. Can Disney send me complementary/discounted magic band-bands for my 2021 trip in July.

    Like you, we had a couple of Walt Disney World Resort vacations cancelled over the past year, and I absolutely understand the sadness and frustration. I probably would have thrown our MagicBands away had I thought of it! (Except I keep mine and use them as a garland on my Disney Christmas tree, so I would have just added them to the collection.) I'm sorry to hear about your Disney blues, but am so, SO happy to hear you've got a do-over coming up in just a few short months! 

    I'm happy to report that there are currently several discounted MagicBand styles available with your Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation. In the My Disney Experience mobile app, tap "Resort Hotel" and then scroll down the "My Reservation" screen to "Choose MagicBands." Then, follow the steps to get started choosing your MagicBands.  I just checked the options available for my June visit, and several solid color bands are available for $5. There are also designs ranging from $10 - $20 (prices are subject to change). These discounted MagicBands are available only to Disney hotel Guests.

    If you'd prefer to speak with a Cast Member in Guest Relations to request a different kind of discount related to your cancelled visit, please call (407) 939-2273. Because so many Guests experienced disrupted plans last year, I'm not sure if they have any pixie dust to spare, but if you'd like to reach out, I know they would be happy to discuss your question with you.

    Since you're asking about MagicBands, I want to ensure you're aware of the new Disney MagicMobile Service. This feature allows Guests to use the My Disney Experience mobile app through their smartphone to access many of the features of a MagicBand, such as theme park entry, Disney PhotoPass, and contactless resort hotel room entry. Walt Disney famously encouraged us to "keep moving forward," and this new service puts new technology at our fingertips!
