Hi there, J!
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for stopping by with your vacation planning question. I'm so excited to hear that you and your husband are visiting
The Most Magical Place on Earth in just a few days! I just love taking adult-only trips to Walt Disney World Resort. You've chosen the perfect time to visit because you'll catch the grand finale of the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration! Are you ready to see the theme park icons transformed into glowing Beacons of Magic? The magic is calling!
J, I'm certain that a lot has changed since your last visit to Walt Disney World Resort, and your husband is in for a whole new world of magical Disney experiences! One major change to note is the addition of the
Theme Park Reservation system. To enter a theme park, Guests must have a valid theme park ticket and make theme park reservations for the day they plan to visit. If you haven't done so already, I encourage you to
make your theme park reservations on the Walt Disney World Resort website as soon as possible.
Next, I'd love to share some of my favorite highlights at the theme parks! At Magic Kingdom Park, I recommend checking out some of the classic favorites like
Pirates of the Caribbean and
Haunted Mansion. These attractions are sure to please Guests of all ages and stages and will also provide an opportunity to rest and relax. EPCOT is my favorite theme park to visit during an adult-only visit, and your visit coincides with the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! If EPCOT is on your agenda, you can expect to see live performances, artistic backdrop photo opportunities, and delightful
Food Studios throughout World Showcase. Top off your day by watching Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom Park or Harmonious at EPCOT!
If you're hoping to maximize time spent on the attractions, you may want to consider utilizing
Disney Genie+ service, which allows Guests access to Lightning Lane entrances to minimize the time spent waiting in lines. Also, if either of you cannot tolerate standing in queues for extended periods, I encourage you to look into
Disability Access Service (DAS). My friend and fellow panelist,
LeAndra, recently provided another Guest with very helpful
instructions on how to register for this service.
Wheelchair rentals are also available at all of the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.
J, I hope you find this information useful as you continue to plan your perfect Disney day. I'm wishing you and your husband a most magical time at The Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any additional questions, please stop back by planDisney anytime - we're all ears!
See ya real soon,
Lauren
