How ya doin' Linda and welcome to planDisney!
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the premier event of the fall season at the Walt Disney World Resort. I'm so glad you and your travel party were able to snag some tickets. I know it can feel a bit confusing with
Park Hopper Options, Theme Park Reservations, and your tickets to the party to consider. Allow me to sort it out for you!
1. If y'all only plan on visiting Magic Kingdom that particular day as Guests at the party, you can enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4 PM with just your Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket and no extra reservation. This is a specially ticketed event and if you have one you aren't in danger of not being able to enter.
2. If you plan on spending the entire day at
Magic Kingdom Park as a regular day Guest as well as going to the party, you will need to make a
Theme Park Reservation via the Disney Park Pass System. At the time I'm writing this answer August is looking pretty open on the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar. While reaching capacity is a possibility, In my experience, it usually tends to be a problem only on major holidays.
Pro-tip: Usually on the day I attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, I usually spend my morning at another park. Maximize the magic as much as you can!
Linda, I hope I've been able to clear up any confusion for you. If you have any other questions please feel free to
come back for another chat. We're happy to have you!
Happy planning!
Taylor
