We have tickets for April 7 & 8th for three. Are we able to get lighting pass to add to this and if so how?

Hi Terri! Welcome to planDisney. Your visit is just around the corner, and I’d be happy to help you get everything set for a smooth and magical couple of park days.

The great news is yes! You can absolutely add Lightning Lane Multi Pass to your tickets. This add-on is available to purchase on the day of your visit once you’ve entered the park, so you’ll be able to decide day-by-day if it’s the right fit for your plans.

After you and your group scan into either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, open the Disneyland app and look for the Lightning Lane Multi Pass option on the home screen. From there, you can follow the prompts to purchase it for that day. Once your purchase is complete, you can begin selecting return times for participating attractions right away. Since pricing can vary depending on demand, the app is the best place to check the current cost each morning.

Here’s a Q-Tip to help you get the most out of your day. Try to reserve high-demand attractions early, as return times for favorites like Space Mountain, Indiana Jones Adventure, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure can go quickly. Locking in one of those selections early can set a great pace for the rest of your day.

Another helpful strategy is taking advantage of the ability to hold multiple Lightning Lane return times. After making a selection, you can book another once you’ve either used your current reservation or two hours have passed (whichever comes first). For example, if you secure a return time for Matterhorn Bobsleds in the morning that isn’t until later in the day, you don’t have to wait to ride it before making your next choice. Setting a quick reminder can help you stay on top of those booking windows. My family likes to pair this with an early start: arriving before park opening, enjoying a few attractions with shorter standby waits, and then using Lightning Lane to keep things moving through the afternoon.

Terri, adding Lightning Lane Multi Pass can be a fantastic way to make both of your park days feel even more flexible and fun. If you would like any additional travel tips, please don’t hesitate to visit us here again at planDisney!

    Happy adventuring!
