Welcome to planDisney! From the looks of things, it sounds like you’re poised to be “command central” for your family’s Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It’s a huge responsibility, but it sounds like you’re ready for it! I also wind up being my family’s head vacationer in charge when we travel to Disney Parks, so I can relate to your role for sure. I’m happy to help you figure out how to get what you need from your
My Disney Experience app.
The first thing that you will need to do is make sure that everyone who has a ticket has been added to your Family & Friends list in the app. To do that, sign into the app and tap the main menu (three horizontal lines in the lower right corner: ☰), scroll down and tap Profile, then tap Family & Friends List. Add any guests here who have tickets for your trip. If you’re together, the best way to do this is via their linking code. There are handy instructions in the app for finding the linking code when you select this option.
Now that your pals have been added to your My Disney Experience app, each person can link their own tickets to their My Disney Experience apps. They’d need to tap the same three horizontal lines in the right corner, then My Tickets and Passes, then tap the plus (+) sign, and Link Tickets & Passes.
Now that everyone has access to their own tickets and you do, too, consider adding
Lightning Lane passes to your park tickets. Lightning Lane passes let you skip the traditional standby queue for certain attractions and experiences. Also, be sure to let your family know about the convenience of
MagicBand+. When linked to your My Disney Experience account, MagicBand+ can be used to scan into the park at the entrance gate, purchase food and merchandise across Disney property, scan into your booked lightning lanes, and more. There are so many options available, and you can order them online from
DisneyStore.com before your trip or purchase them in park, resort hotel and
Disney Springs merchandise locations during your vacation.
