Jason from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I did the ticket reservation and ticket purchasing on my account. My friend did the hotel reservation. We're trying to put both reservations on one plan but keep running into a problem where it says we aren't friends on Disney but yet we are.

    Hi Jason,

    Welcome to planDisney!

Well, this is a dilemma. The only possibility I can imagine would be that the profile your friend has linked on the resort hotel reservation is not the same profile in your My Disney Experience account. Double-check the profiles. I made a resort hotel reservation in the past and, in the process, created a profile for a member of our party. But that friend had a My Disney Experience account. If your friend created a profile for you to manage your plans and you have an actual My Disney Experience account, then you can try to modify that in My Disney Experience. Your friend may need to change the profile associated with the resort hotel reservation. Or, contact a Cast Member by phone to get some assistance.

We also had some trouble with profiles in My Disney Experience because my husband had a My Disney Experience account that he had forgotten about. I figured this out when we renewed his Annual Pass and I noticed that it was not linked in my account. We had to contact a Cast Member to deactivate the old account, create a new profile for him in my account, and make sure all of his plans, including Disney Park Pass system reservations remained in place.

Another way to check the profiles is to go to your My Family & Friends List and check to see if your friend manages plans for you. If so, then your friend may have inadvertently created a separate profile for you. If this is the case, then I suggest that you go ahead and contact a Cast Member to resolve the issue. Also double-check the profile you created for your friend and make sure it is actually linked to the My Disney Experience account the friend is currently using.

Once you get that My Disney Experience account situation resolved, make sure that you have Disney Park Pass system reservations for everyone. Check the theme park reservation availability calendar for the dates of your visit. And keep an eye on the operational updates since policies and procedures could change.

Jason, I am sending some pixie dust your way trusting that you will be able to resolve the issue. Keep making those plans. We are super excited to welcome you to an incredible Disney Day!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
