I have a ticket AND a reservation for EPCOT coming up. i will be driving from Massachusetts. What happens if weather delays my arrival? Could I change my reservation to the next day, if needed? I am hoping I won't have to change my reservation

    Hello Louise,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! Road-tripping to join in The World's Most Magical Celebration sounds like fun. You must be so excited!

If you're headed down in the next couple of months, you'll be visiting during the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. That's one of my favorite times to visit! The park is in full bloom with character topiaries and special garden displays; it's really stunning. Plus, the food options at the Outdoor Kitchens are amazing! If you haven't already seen the new nighttime show, Harmonious, you are in for a treat. It's beautiful, and the music is fantastic!

While I hope that your trip from the north is uneventful, weather-wise, you'll be happy to know that there is no penalty to guests for missing a park reservation. You'll be able to make a reservation and use your park passes for another day. Having said that, if you happen to know a day in advance that you won't be arriving in time to make your EPCOT reservation, I do recommend cancelling it so it's available to another guest. Also, if you don't cancel the reservation you'll need to wait until that reservation day has passed to make a new reservation, whereas once you cancel you are free to rebook a new park. If you have made dining reservations, you'll want to be sure to cancel those at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any cancellation fees.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
    Diane

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
