Hello Louise,
Thanks for stopping by
planDisney with your question! Road-tripping to join in
The World's Most Magical Celebration sounds like fun. You must be so excited!
If you're headed down in the next couple of months, you'll be visiting during the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. That's one of my favorite times to visit! The park is in full bloom with
character topiaries and special garden displays; it's really stunning. Plus, the food options at the
Outdoor Kitchens are amazing! If you haven't already seen the new nighttime show,
Harmonious, you are in for a treat. It's beautiful, and the music is fantastic!
While I hope that your trip from the north is uneventful, weather-wise, you'll be happy to know that there is no penalty to guests for missing a
park reservation. You'll be able to make a reservation and use your park passes for another day. Having said that, if you happen to know a day in advance that you won't be arriving in time to make your EPCOT reservation, I do recommend cancelling it so it's available to another guest. Also, if you don't cancel the reservation you'll need to wait until that reservation day has passed to make a new reservation, whereas once you cancel you are free to rebook a new park. If you have made dining reservations, you'll want to be sure to cancel those at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any cancellation fees.
Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
Diane
