I have a ticket that I purchase for September 2022 travel but I got Covid and was unable to go. Can I exchange that ticket towards Disney World or transfer my ticket to some else for Disneyland?

Hi Misty. Welcome to planDisney, where we are happy to answer every Disney vacation question that comes our way!

I'm so sorry that you were unable to visit last September, but I'm confident that when you visit the Walt Disney World Resort in February 2024, you'll make up for it and then some. After all, there are so many new and exciting experiences that you'll be able to enjoy. Not only will TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise be waiting to digitize you onto the Grid at Magic Kingdom Park, but some new thrills are opening up at the end of 2023 that you'll definitely want to check out when you're there in February. What I'm most excited about is the completion of the transformation of EPCOT, which will bring CommuniCore Hall with a new exhibition space and home for Mickey & Friends and the highly anticipated Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, which will be the centerpiece of World Nature! I can't wait to experience it all and I can't wait for you to either!

While you will not be able to use the value of an unused Walt Disney World theme park ticket toward a theme park ticket for the Disneyland Resort, you usually can apply it towards a future theme park ticket at the Walt Disney World Resort (some exceptions apply, depending on the ticket type). I would recommend you contact a friendly Cast Member at the resort to determine your options. Typically, expired tickets no longer show up on your My Disney Experience account so a Cast Member would be best in assisting with this.

Misty, don't forget that February is usually the time when the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts takes place. This is probably EPCOT's most unique festival. Be sure to stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for any announcements related to this festival in 2024 because you're not going to want to miss the Food Studios and the Disney on Broadway Concert Series!

If you have any other questions about your upcoming trip, reach out again in the future. We are always happy to help!

Even miracles take a little time,
    Matt
