Hi Cindy,
Welcome to planDisney!
I am always happy to hear news of a possible trip to the Walt Disney World® Resort! The good news is that if you book a
vacation package, you are locking in a price. When booking, you will pay a deposit and then as long as you pay the balance by the due date, you have secured your stay at the price it was when you booked it!
On the rare occasions we are not using our
Disney Vacation Club membership, I always check the
Special Offers before booking. A few years ago, we decided to become
Annual Passholders. We considered the number of days we typically visited the theme parks each year and calculated the cost of
theme park tickets. Even at just eight theme park days per year, the annual pass is worth it for us. We also considered the
Passholder discounts on food, merchandise, and selected experiences and factored those discounts into our decision.
Looking at your possible arrival date, I am also excited to see that you will visit during the
Holidays at Walt Disney World. As you may know, this is a beautiful yet busy time of year. So, I do suggest that you book a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel so that you will have access to
Resort Transportation to the theme parks. On our more recent visits, we have enjoyed the
Disney Skyliner. We love dining at
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera for breakfast and then hopping on the Skyliner to get to EPCOT.
Cindy, I hope you are able to book a vacation package. Happy planning!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
