Hello Liza! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Liza, I like the way you think!
The midday break from a Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park is far too often overlooked by families, in my opinion. I am a staunch supporter of arriving early, leaving midday for naps, visiting resort pools and then returning in the evening for Advanced Dining Reservations and fun night activities.
Thankfully, a
1-day Theme Park Ticket is good for admission for the entire day (pending the park does not reach capacity). This means that once you have entered 1 of the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks, you are free to exit the park and return again to the same park, as you please. Just be aware that you will have to go through the screening process and scan your Admission Cards or MagicBands for your entire group upon reentry.
While on your midday break, I recommend taking advantage of
Advanced Dining Reservations at the dining locations at your Walt Disney World Resort. They are seldom crowded at this time (since the parks are crowded) and make for an incredibly relaxing dining opportunity. These are also wonderful times to take advantage of Recreation and Amenities at your Walt Disney World Resort that the all-day park dwellers miss out on. I recommend a
leisurely family ride on a 2, 4 or 6-person Surrey Bike at participating Resort Hotels.
The
Magic is Endless at Walt Disney World Resort, but a solid nap does wonders in ensuring our little magicians are able to enjoy it!
Have a Magical Vacation!
