Hi Heather,
Thanks for visiting planDisney! It sounds like you're ready to spread some happiness to your friend by transferring a ticket to the Happiest Place on Earth. Now let’s get your friend into the park faster than you can say, “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!”
As long as your ticket is wholly unused and unexpired, you can transfer it to someone else. Your friend can try linking the unused ticket to their MyDisney profile, either through the
Disneyland app or
online. You’ll need to share the ticket ID number with them—this can be found below the barcode on the ticket.
When your friend launches the Disneyland app, they should:
1) Tap the three bars in the bottom right corner.
2) Click the "My Tickets & Passes" box at the top left.
3) Tap the "+" symbol in the upper right corner.
4) Use the "Link Tickets & Passes" option to add the ticket.
They can enter the code manually or scan the barcode from their eTicket as it appears in the app.
If you're having trouble with the transfer, I recommend calling
Disney Ticket Services to confirm that your tickets are eligible for transfer. To complete the transfer from one MyDisney account to another, call Ticket Services and have the following information ready:
* The full name of the person receiving the ticket
* Their MyDisney account email
* Their phone number
Be sure to remind your friend that Disneyland is currently celebrating its
70th Anniversary! There’s tons of
new nighttime entertainment in the parks, so encourage them to check it out. And maybe they’ll even bring home
a souvenir for you (wink, wink)!
I hope this information helps, Heather. If you have any other questions or need help with future planning, feel free to write back to me or one of my fellow panelists. We’re always here to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your Disney adventures.
Hope your friend has a magical trip!
